Our year-round centre is located in Palmerston Park, a prime residential district within walking distance of Dublin city centre.

The school itself is a gracious Victorian mansion set in its own grounds and overlooking the park. Being listed of historical interest, it is a protected structure and all of the original features have been carefully preserved. The architect-designed new building in the landscaped gardens to the rear of the house was meticulously planned to create state-of-the-art facilities without in any way compromising the original building.

Learning facilities at Palmerston Park

Students at the Emerald Cultural Institute are welcome to remain in the school all day, to study, watch an English language film or just spend time with their friends.

Our excellent facilities include:

Language Laboratory

Classrooms:
The school has twenty five classrooms, each one well-lit, comfortably furnished and fully equipped with study aids.

Language Laboratories:
The school has two multi-media language laboratories with 32 stations offering self-access and tutor-monitored facilities, with state-of-the-art equipment to help develop your listening, comprehension and pronunciation skills.

Video Stations and library:

Classroom

The school has a wide range of classic and modern films as well as a selection of books, reference materials, magazines, newspapers and journals.

Internet and e-mail facilities:
With 23-coloured flat screen monitors the school offers students free high-speed access to the Internet and e-mail. We also offer free Wireless Internet Access at Palmerston Park. Students can enjoy unlimited Internet access throughout the school buildings and garden.

Reading room:
Students can use our reading room for quiet research and study.
